The OpenText Enterprise Apps Fund (OTEAF) was formed in 2015 and invests in emerging Canadian technology companies that are building disruptive, enterprise applications that leverage the power of the internet, big data, predictive analytics, machine learning and mobility.
OpenText Corporation is a founding limited partner with a 19.9% investment in the Fund. Other Limited Partners include BDC, EDC, Teralys Capital, Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ) and Kensington Capital.
The founding partners of OTEAF have been involved with over 25 technology companies as founders, executives, advisors or investors with a track record of successful growth and premium returns. OTEAF is looking for outstanding entrepreneurs and management teams who are looking for not just financial backing, but the experience and expertise of successful financial and operating executives who can create a catalyst for growth and ultimately a successful exit for all stake holders.
OTEAF has offices in Toronto, Ontario and Montreal, Quebec.
We prefer to fund companies that have growing monthly recurring revenues with a strong product offering and top tier customer references. We typically invest from the Series A round onwards with around $2 to $8 million per investment. In order to add value we require a board seat and actively assist management teams to grow their business.
